OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
INITIATING ANNEXATION PROCEEDINGS FOR THE
HORSETOOTH-HARMONY ANNEXATION
WHEREAS, heretofore a written petition together with
four prints of an annexation map was filed with the City
Clerk requesting the annexation of certain property more
particularly described as situate in the County of Larimer,
State of Colorado, to-wit:
A tract of land located in the East 1/2 of Section 35,
Township 7 North, Range 69 West of the 6th P.M , of
Larimer County, Colorado, being more particularly
described as follows:
Considering the East line of the Southeast 1/4 of said
Section 35 as bearing S 00*06138" W and with all bearings
contained herein relative thereto.
Commencing at the East 1/4 corner of said Section 35,
the said corner being the True Point of Beginning;
thence along the said East line, S 00006138" W, 2645 89
feet to the Southeast corner of said Section 35; thence
along the South line of the Southeast 1/4 of said
Section 35, N 89053' W 569.66 feet, thence along the
East boundary of a tract of land recorded in Book 1577,
Page 712, with the Larimer County Clerk and Recorder, N
O1000' E 531.03 feet; thence along the North boundary
of said tract of land, N 89053113" W 436.88 feet to the
East right-of-way of the Colorado and Southern Railroad,
thence along said East railroad right-of-way S O1"00' W
531.00 feet to the South line of the Southeast 1/4 of
said Section 35, thence along said line N 89053' W
1643.39 feet to the South 1/4 corner of said Section
35; thence Northerly along the West line of the East
1/2 of said Section 35 to the North 1/4 corner of said
Section 35, thence along the North line of the Northeast
1/4 of said Section 35, S 89029109" E 1751.78 feet to
the Easterly right-of-way of the Colorado and Southern
Railroad; thence along said East railroad right-of-way
S O1024131" W 1358 30 feet; thence along the South
boundary of the Horsetooth Annexation to the City of
Fort Collins, Colorado, S 89"35'14" E 929.87 feet to a
point on the East line of the Northeast 1/4 of the said
Section 35, thence along the said line S 00008129" E
1287 48 feet to the True Point of Beginning;

to the City of Fort Collins, Colorado; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to initiate annexation
proceedings in accordance with law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF FORT COLLINS.
Section 1. That the City Council hereby finds and
determines that the annexation petition and accompanying map
are in substantial compliance with Section 31-8-107, Colorado
Revised Statutes, 1973, as amended.
Section 2. That June 20, 1978, at the hour of 5:30
P.M. , or as soon thereafter as the matter may come on for
hearing, in the Council Chambers of the City of Fort Collins
is hereby set as the date, time and place where the City
Council will hold a hearing to determine if the proposed
annexation complies with the provisions of Sections 31-8-104
and 105, Colorado Revised Statutes, 1973, as amended, or
such parts thereof as may be required.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City
Council held this 16th day of May A.D. , 1978
