OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION BY EMINENT DOMAIN
PROCEEDINGS OF CERTAIN LANDS IN THE CITY
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins desires to acquire all parcels of
land contained within Block 31 of the City of Fort Collins for the purpose
of developing a City/County complex, and
WHEREAS, the City has attempted to negotiate the acquisition of such
parcels but has been unsuccessful in such negotiations to the extent that
it has been unable to acquire Parcel 4 of Block 31, more particularly
described as follows, and it appears it will be necessary to acquire such
parcel through proceedings in eminent domain
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS
Section 1 That the City Council hereby finds and determines that it
is necessary that the City of Fort Collins acquire Parcel 4 of Block 31 in
the City of Fort Collins, more particularly described as follows
The East 140 feet of Lots Twenty (20) , Twenty-One (21),
Twenty-Two (22) and Twenty-Three (23) in Block Thirty-
One (31) in the City of Fort Collins, situate, lying
and being in the County of Larimer, State of Colorado
to be used for the development of a City/County complex
Section 2 That the City Council hereby finds and determines that it
is not possible to acquire said parcel by negotiation with the owners of
the land and, therefore, authorizes the City Attorney and the other proper
officials of the City to acquire said above-described Parcel 4 of Block 31
for the City through eminent domain proceedings
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this
17th day of May, A D 1983
