OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS _ 1Iro ^ A T
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AND
LARIMER COUNTY, COLORADO FOR THE PURPOSE OF
SHARING THE COSTS OF CONSTRUCTION OF
CERTAIN ROADS AND INTERCHANGE FACILITI
WHEREAS, Anheuser-Busch, Inc , (Busch) has xpressed an interest in
the construction of a brewery in the Fort Collin area, and
WHEREAS, Busch has acquired an option t purchase property in Larimer
County adjacent to Interstate 25 with acce to transportation facilities
at the location including Interstate 25 terchanges and frontage roads,
and
WHEREAS, the City and the County anticipate that each will construct
certain roads and interchanges of a p lic benefit in the area of the Busch
property, and
WHEREAS, the City has agreed ith Busch that it will construct certain
roads and interchanges of a publ c benefit in the area of the Busch proper-
ty, and
WHEREAS, the County has recognized the income and other benefits it
will derive from the City' construction of the roads and interchanges in
the area of the Busch prop ty, and
WHEREAS, the County has agreed to contribute to the City' s cost for
its construction of r ads and interchange facility including, but not
limited to, the impro ement to City standards for surfaced roads those
portions of County oads 9E, 50 and 52 on the perimeter of the Busch
property, and
WHEREAS, the County and City are authorized to contract with one
another to proved any function, service or facility lawfully authorized to
each of them, i luding the sharing of costs, the imposition of taxes, or
the incurring debt under the provisioins of S29-1-203 of the Colorado
Revised Statut s 1973, upon the approval of their respective legislative
bodies, and
WHEREA the City and the County desire to set out their agreement
whereby th County will contribute to the cost of construction of the roads
and inter ange facility referred to above
NO , THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLIN that the Mayor be, and he hereby is, authorized to execute an
inter vernmental agreement between the City of Fort Collins and the County
of Larimer for the purpose of sharing the cost of construction of roads and
interchange facilities, all as in accordance with that certain intergovern-
mental agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part
hereof
