OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPOINTING A REPRESENTATIVE TO THE
COLORADO MUNICIPAL LEAGUE POLICY COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, the Colorado Municipal League is an influential voice for municipal interests
on state and federal policies affecting municipalities; and
WHEREAS, the Colorado Municipal League is also an important source of information for
municipal officials in serving their communities; and
WHEREAS, the citizens of Fort Collins are best served by an informed and effective local
government; and
WHEREAS,the Colorado Municipal League Policy Committee is responsible for reviewing
legislative proposals and making recommendations to the League Executive Board; and
WHEREAS,the Policy Committee proposes to the Colorado Municipal League membership
revisions to the League's policies which guide League positions on public policy issues affecting
municipalities; and
WHEREAS,on September 5,2006, Resolution 2006-098 appointed Mayor Pro Tem Karen
Weitkunat and City Manager Dann Atteberry as a representatives to the Colorado Municipal League
Policy Committee; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Weitkunat's term as a Councilmember has ended, and Ms. Weitkunat has
resigned her position on the Council as of April 10, 2007; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Fort Collins to have maximum
representation on the Policy Committee; and
WHEREAS, City Council wishes to fill Karen Weitkunat's vacancy on the Colorado
Municipal League Policy Committee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that Wade Troxell is hereby appointed to represent the City of Fort Collins on the
Colorado Municipal League Policy Committee.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this 1 st day of May, A.D.
