HomeMy WebLinkAbout1983-136-08/16/1983-DESIGNATING AN EMERGENCY RESPONSE AUTHORITY FOR HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCE INCIDENTS OCCURING WITHIN THE CI i RESOLUTION 83-136 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS DESIGNATING AN EMERGENCY RESPONSE AUTHORITY FOR HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCE INCIDENTS OCCURRING WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, COLORADO WHEREAS, Article 22, of Title 29, Colorado Revised Statutes 1973, has recently been repealed and reenacted with amendments, effective July 1, 1983, and WHEREAS, C R S 1973, as amended, §29-22-102(3)(a) now requires that the governing body of every town, city, and city and county shall designate by ordinance or resolution an emergency response authority for hazardous substance incidents occurring within the corporate limits of such town, city, and city and county, and WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the citizens of the City of Fort Collins that the Poudre Fire Authority be designated as the emergency response authority for hazardous substance incidents occurring within the city limits of the City of Fort Collins NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that the Poudre Fire Authority is hereby designated as the emer- gency response authority for hazardous substance incidents occurring within the city limits of the City of Fort Collins, Colorado Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this loth day of August A D 1983 a(]/&" W, 6� R z yo ATTEST AJVA 1 ty C
