OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
CREATING A CITIZENS ADVISORY COMMITTEE FOR THE
NORTHEAST AREA TRANSPORTATION STUDY
WHEREAS, the Council of City of Fort Collins has determined that a
Transportation Study of the Northeast Area is necessary; and
WHEREAS, this Northeast Area Transportation Study (the"Study") will examine
the transportation issues and develop potential solutions for transportation in
the northeast area of the City; and
WHEREAS, the Council of City of Fort Collins believes that citizen
participation in the Study is important to it's successful completion; and
WHEREAS, a citizen advisory committee made up of representatives of
interests which may be affected by the Study should be created to serve as a
focal point for the citizen participation effort.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
as follows:
Section 1 . That a Citizen Advisory Committee ("Committee") is hereby
created for the purpose of providing citizen guidance for the completion of the
Study, which Committee shall continue in existence for the duration of the Study,
and at the conclusion of the Study, the Committee shall automatically cease to
exist without further Council action; and
Section 2. That the membership of the Committee shall consist of the
following representatives of community groups, boards, commissions or others with
affected interests:
Gene Wooldridge - Air Quality Task Force
Ron Frank - Board of Realtors
Mel Schamberger - Lindenwood Area Homeowners
Linda Hopkins - Country Club Area Homeowners
Earl Wilkinson - At-large
Joe Solomon - At-large
Lloyd Walker - City of Fort Collins Planning and Zoning Board
Brian Buell - Larimer County Planning Commission
Chuck Bowling - North College business owner
Ed Secor - Citizen Planners
Keith Eckberg - Trucking representative
Lester Litton - City of Fort Collins Chamber of Commerce
Dean Smith - East Mulberry business owner
Jim Alarid - Buckingham/Alta Vista/Andersonville representative
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort
Collins held this 7th day of January, A.D. 1992.
