OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
REPEALING RESOLUTION 86-177 AMENDING THE COOPERATION
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AND THE CITY OF
FORT COLLINS HOUSING AUTHORITY ENTERED INTO ON DECEMBER 16, 1971
WHEREAS, on November 4, 1986, the Council of the City of Fort Collins
adopted Resolution 86-177, which resolution authorized an amendment to the
Cooperation Agreement dated December 16, 1971, between the City and the Fort
Collins Housing Authority ("the Authority") ;
WHEREAS, the purpose of Resolution 86-177 was to relieve the Authority of
its obligation under the Cooperation Agreement to make annual payments in lieu
of taxes ("PILOT") in payment for public services and facilities furnished from
time to time; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has determined that it is
in the best interests of the City that the Authority again commence the making
of PILOTS to the City as was required prior to the adoption of Resolution 86-177;
and
WHEREAS, the purpose of this Resolution is to repeal Resolution 86-177 and
to authorize the Mayor to execute any necessary amendment to the Cooperation
Agreement for the purpose of reinstating the requirement of payment by the
Authority of annual PILOTS.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that Resolution 86-177 be, and hereby is, repealed and that the Mayor be, and
hereby is, authorized to execute any necessary amendment to the Cooperation
Agreement between the City and the Authority for the purpose of reinstating the
requirement of the Authority to make annual PILOTS to the City.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort
Collins held this 2nd day of June, A.D. 1992.
