OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
ADOPTING A REVISED VERSION OF THE STORMWATER
BASIN MAP OF THE CITY
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has enacted Chapter 26 of
the Code of the City for the purpose of establishing storm drainage lines and
other facilities for the drainage and control of flood and surface waters within
the City in order that the health, property, safety and welfare of the City and
its inhabitants may be safeguarded and protected; and
WHEREAS, Section 26-542 of the Code of the City provides that, after
receiving the report and recommendation of the Storm Drainage Board, the City
Council shall officially adopt by resolution a stormwater map delineating the
boundaries of the stormwater basins in the City and in areas which may thereafter
be annexed; and
WHEREAS, on September 15, 1981, the City Council , pursuant to Resolution
81-134, adopted said stormwater basin map; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to the adoption of said map, additional storm drainage
basins have been established in the City and the boundaries of the City and the
Urban Growth Area have changed; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is in the best interests
of the City and its citizens that said stormwater basin map be revised to reflect
said changes in the boundaries of the City and the City's Urban Growth Area and
to include the Old Town (including the Old Town North Tributary Subbasin), Cooper
Slough and Boxelder Master Drainage Basins on the map.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that the stormwater basin map, attached hereto as Exhibit "A," incorporated
herein by this reference, is hereby adopted as the official stormwater basin map
of the City of Fort Collins, superseding that certain map which was adopted
pursuant to Resolution 81-134 of the Council of the City of Fort Collins.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort
Collins held this 7th day of December A.D. 1993.
