OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
EXPRESSING THE CITY'S SUPPORT WITH CONDITIONS TO THE
PROPOSED KWXU - TV CHANNEL 22 SPECIAL REVIEW
WHEREAS, an application has been submitted to Larimer County for the
proposed KWXU - TV Channel 22 Special Review; and
WHEREAS, said application seeks County approval of the construction and
operation of a communication facility, including a transmission tower and
antenna; and
WHEREAS, said tower and antenna have a combined height of 198 and 1/2 feet;
and
WHEREAS, the citizens of the City utilize the affected area of Larimer
County for recreational and other purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City Council believes that without proper mitigation the
proposed tower would create negative aesthetic impacts upon the surrounding area;
and
WHEREAS, the visual impacts of the proposed tower have not been fully
mitigated; and
WHEREAS, the Larimer County Planning Staff have recommended certain
conditions to mitigate the impacts of said tower as described in Exhibit A.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that the Council hereby recommends that the Larimer County Board of Commissioners
approve the KWXU - TV Channel 22 Special Review with the conditions as
recommended by the Larimer County Planning Staff Report, attached hereto as
Exhibit A.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort
Collins held this 7th day of December, A.D. 1993.
