OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE
UNITED STATES FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION
FOR PARTIAL FUNDING OF A PROJECT TO
GROOVE AND MARK RUNWAY 15/33 AT THE
FORT COLLINS-LOVELAND AIRPORT
WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration has made available One Hundred
Seventeen Thousand One Hundred Thirty-six Dollars ($117, 136) of federal funds for
a grant for a project to groove and mark runway 15/33 at the Fort Collins-
Loveland Airport (Airport Improvement Program Project No. 3-08-0023-07) ; and
WHEREAS, said grant will cover ninety percent (90%) of the total cost of
the project to groove and mark runway 15/33 ("Project") ; and
WHEREAS, the ten percent (10%) "local " share of the Project will be
Thirteen Thousand Fifteen Dollars ($13,015) , to be divided equally between the
cities of Loveland and Fort Collins; and
WHEREAS, funds in the amount of Six Thousand Five Hundred Seven and 50/100
Dollars ($6,507.50) have been appropriated in the 1992 City Budget for this
Project; and
WHEREAS, the Project will provide a safer braking surface, improved
drainage of the runway surface and better visibility of runway numbers, center
line strip and runway environment markings for the primary runway for the Fort
Collins-Loveland Airport; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has determined that it is
in the best interest of the citizens of the City that the Mayor enter into an
Intergovernmental Agreement with the United States Federal Aviation
Administration for the purpose of completing the Project at a cost to the City
of Six Thousand Five Hundred Seven and 50/100 Dollars ($6,507.50) .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that the Mayor be and she hereby is authorized to execute an Intergovernmental
Agreement with the United States Federal Aviation Administration for the purpose
of receiving a grant from the Federal Aviation Administration in the sum of One
Hundred Seventeen Thousand One Hundred Thirty-six Dollars ($117, 136) for the
funding of ninety percent (90%) of the cost of the Project, with the remaining
ten percent (10%) of the cost of the Project to be shared equally between the
cities of Fort Collins and Loveland.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort
Collins held this 7th day of January, A.D. 1992.
