OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE AMENDMENT OF THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL
AGREEMENT WITH COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY IMPLEMENTING
A GRANT FOR A RECYCLING PROMOTION AND EDUCATION PROGRAM BY
EXTENDING THE EXPIRATION DATE TO
DECEMBER 31, 1992
WHEREAS, on March 5, 1991, the City entered into an Intergovernmental
Agreement with Colorado State University ("CSU") for the purpose of providing
Colorado Office of Energy Conservation ("OEC") grant funds to the City in the sum
of Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30,000) for a recycling promotion and public
education program; and
WHEREAS, said Intergovernmental Agreement expired according to its term on
December 31, 1991; and
WHEREAS, on December 17, 1991, the OEC authorized the extension of the
termination date of said Intergovernmental Agreement; and
WHEREAS, CSU has submitted to the City a request for amendment to said
Intergovernmental Agreement to extend the term thereof to December 31 , 1992; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has determined that said
extension is in the best interests of the citizens of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
as follows:
Section 1 . That the Mayor be, and hereby is, authorized to enter into an
Amendment to the Intergovernmental Agreement between CSU and the City of Fort
Collins implementing a grant from the Colorado Office of Energy Conservation in
the sum of Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30,000) for a recycling promotion and
education program by extending said Intergovernmental Agreement to midnight
December 31, 1992.
Section 2. By reason of the agreement and consent of the OEC and the
request of CSU, this Resolution shall relate back to December 31 , 1991 .
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort
Collins held this 7th day of July, A.D. 1992.
