OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE
UNITED STATES FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION
FOR PARTIAL FUNDING OF AN AIRPORT MASTER PLAN UPDATE
WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration has made available Forty-five
Thousand Dollars ($45,000) of federal funds for a grant to prepare a Master Plan
Update for the Fort Collins-Loveland Airport (Airport Improvement Program Project
No. 3-08-0023-06) ; and
WHEREAS, said Grant will cover ninety percent (90%) of the total cost of
the Airport Master Plan Update Project ("Project") ; and
WHEREAS, the ten percent (10%) "local " share of the Project will be Five
Thousand Dollars ($5,000) , to be divided equally between the cities of Loveland
and Fort Collins; and
WHEREAS, funds in the amount of Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2, 500)
have been appropriated in the 1992 City Budget for this Project; and
WHEREAS, the Project will provide forecasts and recommendations for the
expansion of the Airport and will serve as a guide for financial participation
by the Federal Aviation Administration for the ensuing five (5) years ; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has determined that it is
in the best interest of the citizens of the City that the Mayor enter into an
Intergovernmental Agreement with the United States Federal Aviation
Administration for the purpose of completing the Project at a cost to the City
of Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500) .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that the Mayor be and she hereby is authorized to execute an Intergovernmental
Agreement with the United States Federal Aviation Administration for the purpose
of receiving a grant from the Federal Aviation Administration in the sum of
Forty-five Thousand Dollars ($45,000) for the funding of ninety percent (90%) of
the cost of the Project, with the remaining ten percent (10%) of the cost of the
Project to be shared equally between the cities of Fort Collins and Loveland.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort
Collins held this 7th day of January, A.D. 1992.
