HomeMy WebLinkAbout1991-019-02/05/1991-LARIMER COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFF PREMISE SIGNS SIGN REGULATIONS UGA URBAN GROWTH AREA RESOLUTION 91-19 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS RECOMMENDING THE ADOPTION OF CERTAIN SIGN REGULATIONS FOR THE FORT COLLINS URBAN GROWTH AREA BY THE LARIMER COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS WHEREAS, on February 5, 1991 , the Council of the City of Fort Collins adopted Ordinance No. 145, 1990, regulating the construction of off-premise signs within the City of Fort Collins; and WHEREAS, said Ordinance establishes a maximum number of off-premise signs to be permitted in the City; and WHEREAS, said number may, pursuant to the Ordinance, be increased as the result of the subsequent annexation of lands into the City; and WHEREAS, the Council believes that it is in the best interests of the citizens of the City and the Urban Growth Area, that the regulation of signs in the Urban Growth Area be consistent with the regulation of signs in the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that the Board of Commissioners of Larimer County is hereby encouraged to work cooperatively with the City to develop sign regulations for the Fort Collins Urban Growth Area that would establish a "cap and replacement" policy for said Urban Growth Area and would further establish design regulations pertaining to size, height and location similar to and consistent with those regulations as are contained in Ordinance No. 145, 1990, of the Council of the City of Fort Collins.
