OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
DESIGNATING THE NAMES TO BE USED FOR ALLEYS
WITHIN THE OLD TOWN FORT COLLINS HISTORIC DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has been petitioned
to assign names to unnamed alleys within the Old Town District; and
WHEREAS, as the redevelopment of the Old Town area progresses busi-
nesses are expected to locate in Old Town and will need named alleys for
addressing and mail delivery purposes; and
WHEREAS, local historians have been consulted and have provided a list
of names that are in keeping with the historical theme of the Old Town
District; and
WHEREAS, utility companies have no problem with this request and
emergency service agencies indicate that naming the alleys will facilitate
responses to emergency situations; and
WHEREAS, the rights of the residents of the City of Fort Collins will
in no way be prejudiced or injured by the assignment of names.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the presently unnamed alleys in the Old Town Fort Collins
Historic District be, and they hereby are, named as follows: Whitton Court
Alley, Seckner Alley, and Old Firehouse Alley.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins this 4th day of June, A.D. 1985.
