OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO
AN AGREEMENT TO PURCHASE PROPERTY IN GREENBRIAR SUBDIVISION
TO BE DEVELOPED AS A NEIGHBORHOOD PARK
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins supports the enhance-
ment of the quality of life of the citizens of the City of Fort Collins;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the establishment of
a neighborhood park in the Greenbriar Subdivision area would• serve to
enhance the quality of life of City residents; and
WHEREAS, there is available for such purpose a 21 acre site within the
Greenbriar Subdivision; and
WHEREAS , the owners of the property (First Interstate Bank) are
willing to convey such land to the City for a total price of $283,500;
and
WHEREAS, funds for the aforesaid purchase are available from 1985
budgeted Parkland Funds for new site acquisition; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the City Council that said purchase
is in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Fort Collins.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter
into an agreement for the purchase by the City of a 21 acre site located
in the Greenbriar Subdivision, said site to be purchased for a total of
$283,500 to be paid in one lump sum.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins this 16th day of April , A.D. 1985./ /
