HomeMy WebLinkAbout1990-067-05/15/1990-FIVE YEAR FORT COLLINS LOVELAND IGA MUTUAL COOPERATION WATER DISTRICT RESOLUTION 90-67 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE FORT COLLINS-LOVELAND WATER DISTRICT FOR MUTUAL COOPERATION WHEREAS, in 1985 the City of Fort Collins and the Fort Collins- Loveland Water District entered into a five-year intergovernmental agreement; and WHEREAS, said agreement provided for cooperation in the establishment of service area boundaries, the transfer of customers, and the sharing of master plans; and WHEREAS, the City and the District wish to extend the agreement for an additional five years; and WHEREAS, the City and the District have agreed to modify the previous agreement to address water supply policy and customer transfer policy; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that said intergovernmental agreement is in the best interests of the City Water Utility. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, COLORADO, that the Mayor be, and she hereby is, authorized to enter into an intergovernmental agreement with the Fort Collins-Loveland Water District for the purpose of continuing cooperation in the establishment of water supply policies and service areas, the transfer of customers and the sharing of master plans. Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort Collins held this 15th day of May, A.D. 1990. Mayor AT: City Clerk
