HomeMy WebLinkAbout1991-116-08/20/1991-AIRPORT FAA FORT COLLINS-LOVELAND GRANT AGREEMENT PARALLEL TAXIWAY PARKING APRON RESOLUTION 91-116 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE UNITED STATES FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION FOR OVERLAYING THE PARALLEL TAXIWAY AND REHABILITATING THE PARKING APRON AT THE FORT COLLINS-LOVELAND AIRPORT WHEREAS, the Cities of Loveland and Fort Collins, Colorado ("Cities") jointly own and operate the Fort Collins-Loveland Municipal Airport ("Airport") ; and WHEREAS, the airport parallel taxiway needs to be overlayed and the parking apron needs to be rehabilitated; and WHEREAS, the total cost of this project is estimated to be $876,965 and is eligible for a 90 percent Grant from the Federal Aviation Administration (the "FAA") ; and WHEREAS, the FAA has offered to provide the Cities with up to $788,965 for this project; and WHEREAS, the Cities have previously appropriated the sponsors' share of this project ($87,662) for the purpose of matching the anticipated Grant during the 1991 Budget process. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS as follows: Section 1 . That the City of Fort Collins shall , as co-sponsor with the City of Loveland, accept the grant offer from the FAA for the purpose of obtaining federal aid in the development and repair of the Airport. Section 2. That the Mayor be, and hereby is, authorized to enter into a Grant Agreement between the City of Fort Collins, the City of Loveland and the FAA for the receipt and use of grant funds to overlay the parallel taxiway and rehabilitate the parking apron at the Airport in substantially the same form as has been utilized for similar grant agreements in previous years.
