OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO COOPERATE
WITH POUDRE R-1 SCHOOL DISTRICT TO INVESTIGATE
ACQUISITION OF LAND FOR A JOINT SCHOOL/PARK SITE
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has an adopted policy to
cooperate with the Poudre R-1 School District ("the District") in the acquisition
and development of recreational facilities; and
WHEREAS, the District is in the process of acquiring land for a new Fort
Collins High School ; and
WHEREAS, the City is in need of additional athletic fields.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that the City Manager is hereby authorized to investigate and negotiate the
possible acquisition of parkland adjacent to the new Fort Collins High School ;
provided, however, that the actual purchase of any particular parcel of property
shall be subject to the approval of the City Council .
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort
Collins held this 1st day of October, A.D. 1991 .
