OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
RENAMING CLUBHOUSE DRIVE TO PALMER DRIVE
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has been petitioned
to rename Clubhouse Drive to Palmer Drive; and
WHEREAS, the street name of Clubhouse Drive has been platted as part
of the Fairway Estates Subdivision and is shown on the official City street
and zoning maps; and
WHEREAS, the sixteen affected property owners, acting as petitioners,
have duly followed City procedures as outlined under Street Name Changes of
the Department of Development Services document entitled City of Fort
Collins Development Manual ; and
WHEREAS, the petitioners have represented that the name Clubhouse
Drive has never been accepted and is therefore unpopular and obsolete, that
Clubhouse Drive becomes Palmer Drive in Fairway Estates 3rd Filing, and
that Palmer Drive is a more accepted and logical street name; and
WHEREAS, the rights of the residents of the City of Fort Collins will
in no way be prejudiced or injured by the renaming of this street; and
WHEREAS, the cost to the City in making the proposed change will be
negligible due to the changing of only one street sign.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the street name of Clubhouse Drive be changed to Palmer Drive
beginning at the intersection with South College Avenue and proceeding
three hundred (300) feet east to the boundary between the City of Fort
Collins and Larimer County.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the CouT1ciJ of the City of
Fort Collins this 6th day of December, A.D. 1988
