HomeMy WebLinkAbout2004-095-08/17/2004-AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE BOARD OF THE GREAT OUTDOORS COLORADO RESOLUTION 2004-095 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE BOARD OF THE GREAT OUTDOORS COLORADO TRUST FUND IN ORDER FOR THE CITY TO RECEIVE GRANT FUNDING FOR THE MASON TRANSPORTATION CORRIDOR TRAIL PROJECT WHEREAS, the City is nearing completion of the engineering phase of the Mason Transportation Corridor (MTC) bicycle/pedestrian trail and it is anticipated that construction bids will be advertised in September 2004 and that the construction process will be completed by Spring, 2005; and WHEREAS,the Colorado State Board of the Great Outdoors Colorado Trust Fund(GOCO) has awarded an $80,000 grant to the City to assist in building the MTC trail project; and WHEREAS, the Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the City that the Mayor enter into an agreement with GOCO in order for the City to receive the $80,000 in grant funding for the MTC trail project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with the Colorado State Board of the Great Outdoors Colorado Trust Fund in order for the City to receive a grant in the sum of$80,000 to assist in the funding of the Mason Transportation Corridor bicycle/pedestrian trail project.
