HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984-166-11/20/1984-AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH LARIMER COUNTY FOR THE IMPLEMENTATI RESOLUTION 84-166 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH LARIMER COUNTY FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION PLAN FOR COOPER SLOUGH WHEREAS, in 1981 Larimer County ("County") completed a drainage basin master plan for Cooper Slough and Box Elder Creek; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to update and expand the 1981 master plan to accommodate the addition of 3 1/2 miles of aerial topographic mapping and urban growth area expansion; and WHEREAS, the County has requested that the City of Fort Collins ("City") financially participate in the project in the amount of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00) ; and WHEREAS, the Anheuser-Busch property is located in the basin and, when developed, will substantially impact the basin; and WHEREAS, the fee system for the City's Storm Drainage Utility is based on drainage basin master plans ; and WHEREAS, the implementation plan will address existing and future problems ; provide information for a fee system and provide an opportunity for a combined City-County effort to solve drainage problems with a combined financial effort; and WHEREAS, the City will have a representative on the technical com- mittee formed to monitor the study; and WHEREAS, the Storm Drainage Board has recommended approval of the project. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that the Mayor be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter into a cooperative agreement with Larimer County for the implementation plan for Cooper Slough at a cost not to exceed $25,000, including $5,000 as contin- gency.
