OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
ESTABLISHING RENTAL RATES TO BE CHARGED FOR
THE CITY'S SURPLUS WATER
WHEREAS, each year after the irrigation companies have established the
annual assessment rates for their water, the Water Board makes a recommen-
dation to the Council on the rental rates to be charged for the City' s
surplus water; and
WHEREAS, on February 17, 1984, the Water Board discussed the rental
rates for 1983 and recommended the following rates for the 1984 irrigation
season:
Irrigation Company 1984 Rental Charge
NCWCD Water (CBT) $ 12.00/ac-ft
North Poudre Irrigation Company $ 100.00/share
Water Supply & Storage Company $1500.00/share
Pleasant Valley & Lake Canal $ 70.00/share
New Mercer Ditch Company $ 220.00/share
Larimer County Canal #2 $ 140.00/share
Arthur Irrigation Company $ 20.00/share
* For late season rentals , rates may be adjusted to reflect the
proportional remaining yield of the water stock being rented (if
applicable) ; and
WHEREAS, municipal supply and demand will be monitored and quantities
available for rent will be determined periodically; -and
WHEREAS, an adequate amount of water will be reserved to ensure that
the City' s requirements are met.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the above rental rates be, and they hereby are, approved for
surplus water for 1984.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Water Utilities General Manager or his
representative be, and he hereby is, authorized to rent surplus water at
the rates specified.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City
of Fort Collins held this 20th day of March, A.D. 1984.
