OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
STATING SUPPORT FOR THE RETENTION
AND EXPANSION OF BASIC INDUSTRIAL FIRMS
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins has an adopted economic development
policy that indicates that the retention of basic industrial firms is critical
to the overall prosperity of the community; and
WHEREAS, basic industrial firms provide important employment and
professional opportunities for citizens of Fort Collins; and
WHEREAS, these firms also contribute to and are important elements of the
community's human resource and social fabric; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins is committed to working with other public
and private entities to ensure that basic industrial firms continue to view our
community as a good place to conduct business and raise families; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins desires to work in cooperation basic
industrial firms that may be interested in expanding their operations within the
community.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that, in recognition of the many contributions basic industrial firms
provide within the community, the City will take actions pursuant to the adopted
economic development policy to encourage and assist in their retention and
expansion as appropriate.
Passed and adopted at regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort
Collins held this 19th day of July, A.D. 1994. f
