OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
ESTABLISHING AND APPOINTING AN AD HOC COUNCIL
LIAISON COMMITTEE AND AN AD HOC EXECUTIVE SEARCH
FIRM COMMITTEE FOR THE EXECUTIVE SEARCH PROCESS
WHEREAS, City Manager Steven C. Burkett resigned his position effective
October 21, 1994; and
WHEREAS, the City Council will engage in a search for a new City Manager;
and
WHEREAS, to conduct an effective search, the City Council desires to use
all sources of information that are available to it, including the citizens of
Fort Collins and staff members; and
WHEREAS, Council wishes to appoint an ad hoc committee to serve as a
liaison with citizens participating in the executive search process and to
appoint an ad hoc committee to recommend for selection an executive search firm.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
as follows:
Section 1. That an ad hoc Council Liaison Committee is hereby established
for the purposes of interviewing and recommending citizen volunteers who apply
to participate on a citizen advisory panel and serving as liaison between the
Council and the citizen advisory panel throughout the executive search process.
Section 2. That the following named Councilmembers are hereby appointed
to serve on the ad hoc Council Liaison Committee:
Gina Janett
Bob McCluskev
Charles Wanner
Section 3. Than an ad hoc Executive Search Firm Committee is hereby
established for the purposes of interviewing and recommending for selection an
executive search firm and acting as a liaison between the Council and the search
firm throughout the process.
Section 4. That the following named Councilmembers are hereby appointed
to serve on the ad hoc Executive Search Firm Committee:
Alan Apt
Chris Kneeland
Will Smith
Section 5. That the ad hoc Council Liaison Committee and the ad hoc
Executive Search Firm Committee shall be automatically dissolved following the
final selection of a City Manager.
