HomeMy WebLinkAbout1989-172-10/03/1989-AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT OF PURCHASE AND SALE OF REAL PROPERTY WITH D RESOLUTION 89-172 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT OF PURCHASE AND SALE OF REAL PROPERTY WITH D. JENSEN ENTERPRISES INC. TO PURCHASE PROPERTY FOR A NEIGHBORHOOD PARK WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has adopted the Parks and Recreation Master Plan which recommends purchasing land for neighborhood parks in response to growth of residential areas; and WHEREAS, the Council has appropriated money in the Parkland Fund for the purpose of purchasing land for neighborhood parks; and WHEREAS, the property to be purchased will be located in the Quail Hollow Subdivision; and WHEREAS, the property to be acquired is ideal for a neighborhood park; and WHEREAS, a price of $4,500.00 per acre for approximately 19.68 acres has been negotiated with the property's owner, d. Jensen Enterprises Inc. , for the purchase of the property. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter into an Agreement for Purchase and Sale of Real Property with d. Jensen Enterprises Inc. to purchase approximately 19.68 acres of property located in the Quail Hollow Subdivision at a price of $4,500.00 per acre to be used as a neighborhood park.
