OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN
ADDENDUM TO THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT
WITH THE CITY OF LOVELAND DATED
DATED SEPTEMBER 1, 1981
WHEREAS, the Cities of Loveland and Fort Collins entered into an
Agreement dated September 1, 1981, to provide financing for the
construction and reconstruction of certain facilities at the Fort
Collins-Loveland Airport; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to that Agreement, Fort Collins issued sales tax
revenue bonds and Loveland has proceeded to pay its share of the sums due
on the debt originally established by this issue; and
WHEREAS, Fort Collins has refunded the original sales tax revenue
bonds issued for this purpose and incorporated this debt into a subsequent
corporate issue; and
WHEREAS, the parties wish to clarify certain provisions of the
September 1, 1981 Agreement by executing an Addendum; and
WHEREAS, Article II, Section 16 of the Charter of the City of Fort
Collins authorizes the City Council to enter into contracts with other
governmental agencies for the performance of cooperative or joint
activities.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the Mayor be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter into the
attached Addendum to the Intergovernmental Agreement with the City of
Loveland to clarify the understanding of the parties with regard to
Loveland's repayment obligations with regard to the outstanding debt which
resulted from the Cities' Agreement of September 1, 1981 .
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 19th day of December, k.D. 1V9.
