OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROVING THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS HARMONY
CORRIDOR PLAN AND INCLUDING
AS AN ELEMENT OF THE
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
WHEREAS, the Goals and Objectives element of the City's Comprehensive Plan
direct the City to: (1) discourage strip commercial development along arterial
streets and highways; (2) enhance public street appearance with particular
attention to entrance highways; and (3) ensure that future development in the
City will be accomplished so as to create the least degradation of the
environment; and
WHEREAS, the Harmony Corridor Plan is consistent with the foregoing Goals
and Objectives and constitutes a public statement of the City's policies with
regard to the future development of the Harmony Corridor area in terms of land
use and urban design; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution PZ 91-4, the Planning and Zoning Board recommended
that the Council adopt the Harmony Corridor Plan 1991 and incorporate it into
the City of Fort Collins Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the
citizens of the City that the Harmony Corridor Plan 1991 be adopted and
incorporated into the Comprehensive Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that the City of Fort Collins Harmony Corridor Plan 1991 be and hereby is
approved for incorporation into the City of Fort Collins Comprehensive Plan for
providing policy support for land-use decision making in the corridor and for
guiding development so as to achieve a cohesive urban design theme and an
environmentally sensitive gateway area.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort
Collins held this 5th day of March, A.D. 1991 .
