HomeMy WebLinkAbout1992-122-08/04/1992-COMMITTEE DISPOSITION FORFEITED PROPERTY SB 92-204 RESOLUTION 92- 122 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS APPOINTING THE MAYOR, OR HIS OR HER DESIGNEE, AS THE FORT COLLINS CITY COUNCIL'S REPRESENTATIVE TO THE COMMITTEE APPROVING DISPOSITION OF PROPERTY FORFEITED TO POLICE SERVICES WHEREAS, Fort Collins Police Services, in the course of its law enforcement functions, seizes property under the public nuisance statutes of the State of Colorado; and WHEREAS, this property is often award by the courts to Fort Collins Police Services for their use or expenditure in accordance with the State's statutes; and WHEREAS, Colorado General Assembly Senate Bill 92-204 mandates that forfeited property may not be used or expended without the approval of a committee; and WHEREAS, the committee approving the disposition of forfeited property is to include a representative of the governmental body having budgetary authority over the seizing agency. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that the Mayor, or his or her designee, is appointed as the Fort Collins City Council 's representative to the committee approving disposition of property forfeited to Fort Collins Police Services in accordance with Senate Bill 92-204. Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort Collins held the 4th day of August, A.D. 1992. i" Mayor ProTem ATTEST: City Clerk
