OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
ACCEPTING AN AGREEMENT FOR PERFORMANCE
OF PROFESSIONAL SERVICES BY AN EXECUTIVE
SEARCH FIRM TO LOCATE A NEW CITY MANAGER
WHEREAS, the Council passed Resolution 85-173 on October 1, 1985
authorizing the City to hire an executive search firm to conduct the search
for a City Manager; and
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Department issued Requests for Proposals from
executive search firms for the performance of these professional services;
and
WHEREAS, ten proposals were received and reviewed by a sub-committee
of the Council ; and
WHEREAS, the sub-committee of the Council interviewed four of these
firms based on the quality of said proposals; and
WHEREAS, the sub-committee has recommended a consultant to the full
Council ; and
WHEREAS, Jensen-Oldani has been selected to perform all professional
services as defined in the Scope of Services of the agreement between the
parties at a cost of Thirteen Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($13,500) plus
reasonable expenses not to exceed Six Thousand Dollars ($6,000) ; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-66 of the Code of the City of Fort
Collins, no professional services agreement in excess of Twenty Thousand
Dollars ($20,000) shall be entered into until approved by the City Council
in an open meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the Mayor be, and hereby is , authorized to enter into a
professional services agreement with Jensen-Oldani for executive search
services, said services to be performed at a cost of Nineteen Thousand Five
Hundred Dollars ($19,500) .
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this
