OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD FINAL BID PACKAGES
AND CONTINUE WITH CONSTRUCTION ON THE INDOOR POOL/ICE ARENA
WHEREAS, the City Council has had an opportunity to review the progress
of the Indoor Pool /Ice Arena Project ; and
WHEREAS, on October 4, 1985, the City received bids on the final major
bid packages including architectural , plumbing, mechanical , electrical ,
landscaping and capital tools and equipment and the City Council has had an
opportunity to review said bids; and
WHEREAS, the bids received were less than the estimated cost for said
bid packages; and
WHEREAS, the project contingency can be enlarged further by delaying
the purchase of certain capital tools/equipment and office furnishings; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it would be appropriate
at this time to give the City Manager further direction as to how to
proceed on the project.
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, directed to proceed
with the Indoor Pool /Ice Arena Project as follows:
1. Proceed with construction as designed;
2. Award the final bid packages;
3. Delay the purchasing of certain capital tools/equipment and office
furnishings as recommended by staff;
4. Arrange a further review by City Council of the project contingency
in September, 1986 in order to determine the appropriate use
thereof.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 15th day of October, A.D. 1985.
