OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
ESTABLISHING A COMPARABLE WORTH PLAN FOR
CITY OF FORT COLLINS EMPLOYEES
WHEREAS, pay equity for city employees is a goal of the City of Fort
Collins; and
WHEREAS, comparable worth is a valuable concept for measuring the
equity of the City of Fort Collins pay plan in terms of relative value of
the position to the organization ; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins wants to provide salary equity for
its employees, and funds have been appropriated in the 1986 City Budget to
begin a Comparable Worth Plan for City employees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City of Fort Collins will undertake a three year plan to
provide salary equity for all City employees and to increase salaries to
employees performing work in undervalued jobs.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 1st day of October, A.D. 1985.
