OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
EXPRESSING GRATITUDE AND APPRECIATION
TO MARTY THARP FOR HER CONTRIBUTIONS TO
THE COMMUNITY AS A COUNCILMEMBER
WHEREAS, Marty Tharp has served as District 5 Councilmember from April 10, 2001,
through April 19, 2005; and
WHEREAS,during her tenure,Councilmember Tharp has also served as the Council liaison
to the Affordable Housing Board, Art in Public Places Board, Commission on Disability, Human
Relations Commission and Library Board and as a member of various Council Committees
including the Ethics Review Board, Health and Safety Committee and the Legislative Review
Committee; and
WHEREAS, Councilmember Tharp has ably represented the City on the Colorado State
University Liaison Committee, Fort Collins Housing Authority, 1-25 Corridor Policy Committee,
North Front Range Transportation and Air Quality Planning Council and numerous other
assignments; and
WHEREAS, this period of time has seen an extraordinary amount of change and growth in
the City of Fort Collins, and Marty Tharp has been called upon to devote a substantial amount of
time and energy to the affairs of the City of Fort Collins.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City expresses its sincere appreciation and gratitude to Marty Tharp for her
service and contributions to the community as District 5 Councilmember.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this 19th day of April,A.D.
