OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROVING A SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE OF
SIX PULSAFEEDER PUMPS
WHEREAS, Water Treatment Plant #2 needs six chemical feed pumps which
dispense chemicals into the water supply during the treatment process; and
WHEREAS, the Water Utilities Department has used Pulsafeeder pumps
since 1976 and has determined them to be very reliable and superior to
other brands of chemical feed pumps; and
WHEREAS, replacement of pumps by other manufacturers with Pulsafeeder
pumps would standardize the equipment and reduce parts inventory and
simplify maintenance and training; and
WHEREAS, the cost of six (6) Pulsafeeder pumps is Twenty-Six Thousand
Six Hundred and Twenty Dollars ($26,620.) ; and
WHEREAS, monies are available and budgeted for this purchase; and
WHEREAS, under the provisions of Section 2-59 of the Code of the City
of Fort Collins the City Council must approve all sole source purchases in
excess of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.) ; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the citizens of the City of
Fort Collins that six Pulsafeeder pumps be purchased for use at Water
Treatment Plant #2.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that six (6) Pulsafeeder pumps be purchased for use at Water
Treatment Plant #2 for a cost not to exceed Twenty-Six Thousand Six Hundred
and Twenty Dollars (E26,620. ) .
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 16th day of December, A.D. 1986.
