OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF
LOVELAND FOR CERTAIN POLICE SERVICES
WHEREAS, officers of the Loveland Police Department responded to and
rendered police services in connection with an incident involving a person
named Wayne Strozzi within and without the Loveland City limits on January
3, 1989; and
WHEREAS, Loveland desired that a factual investigation and review of
the incident be performed by a non-participating law enforcement agency;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins is willing to assist Loveland and
did perform such an investigation and review; and
WHEREAS, Section 29-1-203, C.R.S. , authorizes local governments to
cooperate or contract with one another to provide any service authorized to
each.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the Mayor be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter into an
intergovernmental agreement with the City of Loveland pertaining to the
City of Fort Collins's investigation into that certain incident which
involved the Loveland Police Department and Wayne Strozzi on January 3,
1989.
