OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN INTER-
GOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH LARIMER COUNTY
FOR MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS
WHEREAS, Larimer County is possessed of certain traffic signal
equipment which needs to be routinely maintained; and
WHEREAS, Larimer County does not have the technical staff needed to
conduct such traffic signal maintenance; and
WHEREAS, the City staff is capable of performing said maintenance for
Larimer County and is willing to perform said services under an agreement
whereby Larimer County would reimburse the City for all of its actual costs
of labor, equipment and materials in the performance of said maintenance
and repairs; and
WHEREAS, all of said traffic signals to be maintained pursuant to the
signal maintenance contract are located near the corporate limits of the
City and are capable of being maintained by the City staff as a part of its
existing work program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to enter into an
agreement with Larimer County for the maintenance of certain specified
traffic signal equipment owned and operated by the County, in consideration
of the reimbursement to the City of all of its actual costs of labor,
equipment and materials used in the maintenance and repairs of the
specified traffic signals.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 20th day of June, A.D. 1989.
