OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT
WITH THE POUDRE R-1 SCHOOL DISTRICT
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A WATER LINE
WITH THE TAFT HILL/HORSETOOTH INTERSECTION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins and the Poudre R-1 School District
desire to construct the public improvements necessary to serve the proposed
1990 Elementary School ; and
WHEREAS, such necessary public improvements include the construction
of improvements including asphalt paving, concrete curb, gutter and
sidewalk on Horsetooth Road west of Taft Hill Road in conjunction with the
City's Taft Hill Road and Horsetooth Road Intersection project; and
WHEREAS, such improvements also include the construction of a 20-inch
water line in Horsetooth Road west of Taft Hill Road; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins and the Poudre R-1 School District
have negotiated an agreement to provide for the construction of said water
line in conjunction with the City's Taft Hill Road and Horsetooth Road
Intersection Project in advance of the roadway improvements, and to divide
the costs of said water line construction between the City and the School
District; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds for the construction of such improvements
have been appropriated for such purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that a 20-inch water line should be constructed in Horsetooth Road
west of Taft Hill Road in conjunction with the City's Taft Hill Road and
Horsetooth Road Intersection Project, with the costs of such water line
construction to be shared by the City of Fort Collins and the Poudre R-1
School District, and the Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to
enter into an agreement with the Poudre R-1 School District to effect such
action.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this
