HomeMy WebLinkAbout1989-114-06/20/1989-AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO ENTER INTO A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH ROBB, BRENNER RESOLUTION 89-114 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO ENTER INTO A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH ROBB, BRENNER+BRELIG, INC. WHEREAS, a master plan of the City of Fort Collins Wood Street Service Center has been completed outlining the future space requirements for the center site; and WHEREAS, in April of 1989, the City issued a request for proposals for the design services at the Wood Street Center Expansion; WHEREAS, upon analysis of the proposals, it has been determined that Robb, Brenner+Brelig, Inc. should be engaged to perform such work; and WHEREAS, the work has been divided into two phases, Phase I to begin in 1989 and Phase II scheduled to begin in 1990; and WHEREAS, the City has negotiated a fee not to exceed One Hundred Eight Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($108,200) for the performance of the Phase I work; and WHEREAS, the funds for Phase I have been appropriated in prior year Sewer Capital Projects; and WHEREAS, Phase I and Phase II shall each exceed Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000) ; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 8-129 of the Code of the City of Fort Collins no professional services agreement in excess of Twenty Thousand Dollars (E20,000) shall be entered into until approved by the City Council in an open Council meeting. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that the Purchasing Agent be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter into a Professional Services Agreement with Robb, Brenner+Brelig, Inc. for the following services: Phase I - Design and construction administration services for the addition of 15,000 square feet for the Water/Wastewater Department (designated "Agenda Item" as shown on Exhibit #1, attached hereto and made a part hereof) at a total cost not to exceed $108,200; and Phase II - Design services, preparation of project budgets and construction administration services for certain future additions to the Wood Street Service Center (Crew Space to Buildings A and C, Vehicle Storage to Building C, Interior Building C Remodel , Vehicle Wash Bays, and necessary site work all designated "Future" as shown on Exhibit #1) after an appropriation therefore shall have been made in the budget.
