OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
REAPPOINTING KATHLEEN M. ALLIN AS
MUNICIPAL JUDGE AND ESTABLISHING A NEW
TWO-YEAR TERM OF OFFICE
WHEREAS, Municipal Judge Kathleen M. Allin was first appointed to the
position of Municipal Judge of the City of Fort Collins for a term commencing
July 1 , 1989, which appointment was for a period of two years as required by
Article VII , Section 1, of the City Charter; and
WHEREAS, Judge Allin was reappointed by the City Council for a second term
commencing July 1, 1991 ; and
WHEREAS, the timing of Judge Allin's appointments as Municipal Judge to
date necessitated performance and salary reviews by the City Council on a
different schedule than those of the City Council 's other direct employees, the
City Manager and the City Attorney; and
WHEREAS, this evaluation process entails the compilation of information,
not only by the City Council and the affected employees, but by other members of
City staff; and
WHEREAS, in order to facilitate the more efficient review of all of its
direct employees, the City Council wishes to reappoint Judge Allin at this time,
so that her future performance and salary reviews would occur simultaneously with
those of the City Manager and the City Attorney; and
WHEREAS, this change in scheduling can be accomplished by reappointing
Judge Allin for a new two-year term commencing January 1, 1993.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
as follows:
Section 1 . That Kathleen M. Allin, be, and she hereby is, reappointed
Municipal Judge for the City of Fort Collins for a two (2) year term commencing
January 1, 1993, and ending December 31 , 1994.
Section 2. That the Mayor be, and hereby is, authorized to execute an
addendum to the existing Employment Agreement between the City and Kathleen M.
Allin extending said Agreement for a term as stated in Section 1 above, with all
other terms and conditions of said Agreement to remain the same.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort
Collins held this 17th day of November, A.D/ 1992.
