HomeMy WebLinkAbout1992-015-01/21/1992-AGREEMENT COMMUNITY VISIONING PROCESS NATIONAL CIVIC LEAGUE RESOLUTION 92-15 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE NATIONAL CIVIC LEAGUE TO FACILITATE A COMMUNITY VISIONING PROCESS WHEREAS, one of the City Council 's goals is to plan and provide for the capital improvement needs of the community; and WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to include citizen involvement in the process for capital improvement planning; and WHEREAS, a community organization called the "Community Vision Coalition" has begun a community visioning process called "Challenge Fort Collins" ; and WHEREAS, this community visioning process will be facilitated by the National Civic League; and WHEREAS, the City Council believes that the interests of the City would be well served if the City were to support and play an active role in this community visioning process; and WHEREAS, the City's share of the cost of this process is available from previously appropriated funds. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that the City's Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with the National Civic League to help facilitate a community visioning process with the Community Vision Coalition, at a cost to the City not to exceed Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000) .
