OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN ADDENDUM TO THE
CITY'S EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT WITH JOHN F. FISCHBACH
AS CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS.
WHEREAS, on June 20, 1995,the Council of the City of Fort Collins ("Council") adopted
Resolution 95-88 authorizing the Mayor to execute an Employment Agreement with John F.
Fischbach ("Fischbach") to be the City Manager of the City of Fort Collins; and
WHEREAS, on June 22, 1995,the Mayor, on behalf of the City of Fort Collins entered into
the Employment Agreement with Fischbach as authorized by Resolution 95-88 (the "Agreement");
and
WHEREAS, Section III of the Agreement currently provides that the City shall pay to
Fischbach a base salary of Ninety-eight Thousand Seven Hundred Fifteen Dollars ($98,715); and
WHEREAS, on December 19, 1995, the Council adopted on second reading Ordinance No.
163, 1995, increasing Fischbach's base salary to One Hundred Two Thousand One Hundred Seventy
Dollars ($102,170) effective January 1, 1996; and
WHEREAS, it is therefore necessary to amend Section III of the Agreement to reflect this
increase in Fischbach's base salary; and
WHEREAS, the City Council and Fischbach also desire to amend Section III of the
Agreement to provide that in the future Council's annual ordinance setting Fischbach's base salary
be automatically incorporated by reference into the Agreement thereby making it unnecessary to
amend the Agreement each year in this respect.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS,that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the City an addendum to the
Agreement which amends Section III of the Agreement to provide that Fischbach's base salary
beginning January 1, 1996, shall be One Hundred Two Thousand One Hundred Seventy Dollars
($102,170), and that Section III of the Agreement be further amended to provide in the future that
Council's annual ordinance setting Fischbach's base salary shall be automatically incorporated into
the Agreement without the need for the City and Fischbach entering into an addendum to the
Agreement in this respect, and that all other terms and conditions of the Agreement shall remain
unchanged and in full force and effect.
