OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE OF
THE SPERRY MAPPER 5/BUILDING CODE COMPLIANCE SYSTEM
WHEREAS, the Building Inspection Division needs an automated building
permit processing system; and
WHEREAS, since 1982 the Building Inspection Division and the Office of
Information and Communication Systems have attempted to find such a system;
and
WHEREAS, of the options explored, the Napa County/Sperry MAPPER 5
system was found to be the best and most economical system that would meet
the needs of the Building Inspection Division; and
WHEREAS, the cost of the system is Thirty-Five Thousand Six Hundred
Eighty-One Dollars ($35,681. ) ; and
WHEREAS, money is available and budgeted in the Building Inspection
Division's 1986 budget for the purchase of this system; and
WHEREAS, under the provisions of Section 2-59 of the Code of the City
of Fort Collins the City Council must approve all sole source purchases in
excess of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000. ) ; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the citizens of the City of
Fort Collins that an automated building permit processing system be
purchased for the tracking and updating of building permits.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the Napa County/Sperry MAPPER 5 system be purchased from the
Sperry Corporation for a cost not to exceed Thirty-Five Thousand Six
Hundred and Eighty-One Dollars ($35,681 . ) .
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 6th day of May, A.D. 1986.
