OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROVING A CHANGE ORDER TO THE ENGINEERING
SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH BLACK & VEATCH ENGINEERS
WHEREAS, in September of 1984 the Council of the City of Fort Collins
adopted Resolution 84-137 authorizing a professional services agreement
with Black & Veatch Engineers for the design and contract administration of
the Water Treatment Relocation Project; and
WHEREAS, said agreement authorized an estimated fee of One Million Five
Hundred Sixty-Seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($1,567,500.) for
engineering services; and
WHEREAS, the City has requested the following changes in the original
scope of work:
o Changing from two construction contracts to three construction
contracts.
o Fish ladder at the diversion dam.
o Surge control at WTP#2.
o Laboratory and pilot plant modifications.
o Programmable controller and computer hardware modifications.
o Assistance with programming and computer start-up.
o Transmission tunnel .
o Negotiated adjustment to engineering services fee.
WHEREAS, these changes require the approval of a change order in the
amount of One Hundred Seventy-Six Thousand Six Hundred and Seventy-Nine
Dollars ($176,679.) ; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Capital Project Management/Control
System the City Council must approve all change orders of Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($50,000.) or more.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to approve a
change order in the amount of One Hundred Seventy-Six Thousand Six Hundred
and Seventy-Nine Dollars ($176,679. ) to the Engineering Services Agreement
with Black & Veatch Engineers for the design and contract administration of
the Water Treatment Relocation Project.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 15th day of April , A.D. 1986.
