OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
NAMING THE NEW POOL/ICE ARENA
WHEREAS , the new pool / ice arena facility is presently under
construction in Edora Park; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Board appointed a committee to design
and oversee the running of a contest to name the new facility; and
WHEREAS, the committee has , after receiving numerous entries in the
contest, formally recommended to the Parks and Recreation Board that the
facility be named "EPIC (Edora Pool Ice Center)" ; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Board has voted unanimously to accept
the committee's recommendation and to recommend the same to the City
Council .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the new pool/ice arena facility presently under construction
in Edora Park be, and the same hereby is, named "EPIC (Edora Pool Ice
Center)".
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this
1st day of April , A.D. 1986.
