OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH
ENGINEERING PROFESSIONALS, INC.
FOR DRAINAGE PLANNING AND DESIGN SERVICES
IN THE SPRING CREEK BASIN
WHEREAS, it is necessary to update the current master plan for Spring
Creek and develop a final design of improvements for Spring Creek from
College Avenue west to the Burlington Northern Railroad; and
WHEREAS, the City's Purchasing Department released Request for
Proposal/Qualifications (P-97) to solicit consultants to perform the
drainage planning and design services work for the Spring Creek Basin; and
WHEREAS, eighteen proposals were received and City staff interviewed
four firms and gave the highest rating to Engineering Professionals, Inc.
of Fort Collins; and
WHEREAS, Engineering Professionals, Inc. has worked on several other
projects for the City and their quality of work has been excellent; and
WHEREAS, Engineering Professionals, Inc. will perform the work for a
fee not to exceed Eighty-Six Thousand Six Hundred Fourteen Dollars
($86,614. ) ; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-66 of the Code of the City of Fort
Collins, no professional services agreement in excess of Twenty Thousand
Dollars ($20,000. ) shall be entered into until approved by the City Council
in an open Council meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter
into a professional services agreement with Engineering Professionals, Inc.
for drainage planning and design services for the Spring Creek Basin, said
services to be performed by Engineering Professionals, Inc. for a sum not
to exceed Eighty-Six Thousand Six Hundred Fourteen Dollars ($86,614. ) .
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this
18th day of March, A.D. 1986.
