OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPOINTING JAY APRIL TO FILL A
VACANCY AS COUNCILMEMBER AT-LARGE
ON THE FORT COLLINS CITY COUNCIL
WHEREAS, Councilmember John Clarke has resigned as a Councilmember
At-Large on the Fort Collins City Council effective February 4, 1986; and
WHEREAS, the Charter of the City of Fort Collins provides that the
City Council shall fill such vacancy by appointment within 30 days of such
vacancy; and
WHEREAS, the Council has carefully considered a number of applications
received from qualified City residents to fill such vacancy; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to appoint Jay April to fill said
vacancy on the Fort Collins City Council for the remainder of the unexpired
term of Councilmember John Clarke.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that Jay April be appointed to fill the unexpired term of John
Clarke as Councilmember At-Large on the Fort Collins City Council , said
term to run until an elected representative is seated following the March,
1987 General Municipal Election.
Passed and adopted at a special meeting of the City Council held this
3rd day of March, A.D. 1986.
