OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF THE PROPERTY KNOWN AS
SMALL WONDER LOCATED AT 185 NORTH COLLEGE AVENUE
BY THE FORT COLLINS DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, the Fort Collins Downtown Development Authority has been duly
organized in accordance with CRS 31-25-804, Colorado Revised Statutes,
1973, as amended; and
WHEREAS, Colorado state enabling legislation authorizes the Downtown
Development Authority to purchase property for the purpose of the
prevention of the spread of blight; and
WHEREAS, the Fort Collins Downtown Development Authority has as one of
its primary objectives the improvement of the downtown in accordance with
the approved Plan of Development; and
WHEREAS, the property known as Small Wonder located at 185 North
College is for sale and falls within the DDA boundaries; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Fort Collins Downtown
Development Authority has approved the purchase of said property for the
above stated reasons.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that it approves the purchase of the property known as Small Wonder
located at 185 North College by the Fort Collins Downtown Development
Authority.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this
18th day of February, 1986.
