OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF CBT WATER
FROM THREE SEPARATE SELLERS AND THE PURCHASE OF
SHARES OF STOCK IN THE NORTH POUDRE IRRIGATION COMPANY
WHEREAS, in order to meet future water demands, the City from time to
time acquires water supplies that are compatible with the City's existing
water supply system; and
WHEREAS, seventeen hundred and seventy-nine (1779) units of CBT water
and one hundred and five (105) shares of stock in the North Poudre
Irrigation Company are now available for purchase by the City; and
WHEREAS, these water supplies are compatible with the City's system
and will be useful in meeting future water demands during drought
conditions; and
WHEREAS, the Water Board has evaluated the purchase proposals and
determined that the acquisitions are consistent with the acquisition
policies of the Board; and
WHEREAS, the total purchase price of One Million Seven Hundred
Fourteen Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($1,714,200. ) is available in Water
Fund Capital Reserves and the existing Water Utilities Budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that seventeen hundred and seventy-nine (1779) units of CBT water
and one hundred and five (105) shares of stock in the North Poudre
Irrigation Company be purchased by the City and added to the present water
supply system for a cost not to exceed One Million Seven Hundred Fourteen
Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($1,714,200. ) .
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 16th day of December, A.D. 1986.
