HomeMy WebLinkAbout1986-198-12/16/1986-EAST VINE DRIVE 9TH ANNEXATION HANSEN ANNEXATION LAKE SHERWOOD ANNEXATION WEST LAPORTE AVENUE 5TH WE RESOLUTION 86- 198 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS SETTING FORTH THE INTENT OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS TO ANNEX CERTAIN AREAS TO THE CITY WHEREAS, the properties hereinafter described have, for more than three (3) years prior to this date, been completely contained within the boundaries of the City of Fort Collins; and WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has determined that it is in the best interests of the citizens of the City of Fort Collins to annex said areas to the City , as required by the terms of the Intergovernmental Agreement between the City and Larimer County, Colorado, dated August 3, 1983. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS as follows: Section 1. That the Council of the City of Fort Collins hereby sets forth its intent to annex the following described properties situate in the County of Larimer, State of Colorado, to-wit: EAST VINE DRIVE 9th ANNEXATION A tract of land situated in the SW 1/4 of Section 5, Township 7 North, Range 68 West, of the 6th P.M. , County of Larimer, State of Colorado, which considering the south line of the southwest 1/4 of said Section 5 as bearing S 89010'50" E and with all bearings contained herein relative thereto, commencing at the SW corner of said Section 5, thence S 89*10150" E 1473.72 feet to the true point of beginning; thence S 89°10'50" E 400.00 feet; thence N 00049'10" E 596.71 feet; thence N 89*10150" W 146.00 feet; thence S 00049' 10" W 82.22 feet; thence N 89°10'50" W 254.00 feet; thence S 00049' 10" W 514.49 feet to the true point of beginning. The above described tract contains 5.00 acres more or less. WEST LAPORTE AVENUE 5th ANNEXATION Tract of land situated in the NE 1/4 of Section 9, Township 7 North, Range 69 West of the 6th P.M. , Larimer County, Colorado. Considering the south line of the NE 1/4 of said Section 9 as bearing N 89039'15" W, and with all bearings contained herein relative thereto: commencing at the East 1/4 corner of Section 9, thence N 89039'15" W 2042.00' to the true point of beginning, thence N 00059' 15" W 148.00' , thence N 89039' 15" W 100.00' , thence S 00059' 15" E 148.00' , thence S 89039' 15" 100.00' to the true point of beginning. The above described tract contains 40.04 acres more or less. Section 2. That the notice attached hereto be adopted as a part of this resolution. Said notice establishes the date, time and place when a public hearing will be held regarding the passage of an annexation ordinance pertaining to the above described properties. The City Clerk is directed to publish a copy of this resolution and said notice as provided in C.R.S. 31-12-108(2) . Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort Collins held this 16th day of December, A.D. 1986. Mayor ATTEST: City Clerk (�S NOTICE TO ALL PERSONS INTERESTED: PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the City of Fort Collins has adopted a resolution of intent to annex certain real properties more particularly described in said resolution, a copy of which precedes this notice. THAT for more than three (3) years more than two-thirds (2/3) of the boundary of said territory has been contiguous with the boundary of the City of Fort Collins. THAT on January 20, 1987, at the hour of 6:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may come up for hearing before the City Council in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Fort Collins at 300 Laporte Avenue, Fort Collins, Colorado, the City Council will hold a hearing upon said resolution for the purpose of determining and finding whether said territories proposed to be annexed meet the applicable requirements of Colorado law and are eligible for annexation. At such hearing, any person living within the areas proposed to be annexed and any landowner of lands therein, and any resident of the City of Fort Collins, and all other interested persons may appear and present such evidence as they may desire.
