HomeMy WebLinkAbout1986-194-12/16/1986-AGREEMENT HAZARDOUS WASTE MANAGEMENT LARIMER COUNTY LOVELAND PLAN RESOLUTION 86-194 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH LARIMER COUNTY AND THE CITY OF LOVELAND TO PREPARE A HAZARDOUS WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR LARIMER COUNTY WHEREAS, the disposal of hazardous and waste materials is a significant problem in Larimer County; and WHEREAS, being a regional issue, the City of Fort Collins believes that the problem can best be addressed at the county level ; and WHEREAS, the County has agreed to coordinate the preparation of a hazardous waste management plan for Larimer County, hereinafter referred to as the Project; and WHEREAS, the total cost for the Project is to be a maximum of Eighty Thousand Dollars ($80,000) , which cost is to be shared by the parties in proportion to population as follows: Larimer County is to contribute Twenty-seven Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($27,200) or 34%, the City of Loveland is to contribute Sixteen Thousand Dollars ($16,000) or 20% and the City of Fort Collins is to contribute Thirty-six Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars ($36,800) or 46%; and WHEREAS, said contributions are to be paid by the Cities to the County in three (3) equal progress payments after review of each trimester report by the Cities as required in the Project Work Plan. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that the Mayor be, and hereby is, authorized to enter into an agreement with Larimer County and the City of Loveland to prepare a hazardous waste management plan for Larimer County which agreement requires the City of Fort Collins to contribute a maximum of $36,800 to the cost of the Project.
