HomeMy WebLinkAbout1986-175-11/18/1986-AGREEMENT LARIMER WELD REGIONAL COUNCIL LWRCOG TRIP GENERAL STUDY RESOLUTION 86-175 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE LARIMER-WELD REGIONAL COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS (LWRCOG) FOR A TRIP GENERATION STUDY WHEREAS, the Federal Government, pursuant to various federal statutes, has established guidelines which call for a continuing, comprehensive and cooperative transportation planning process to be conducted in each urbanized area of the United States; and WHEREAS, the LWRCOG has been designated as a metropolitan planning organization to assume responsibilities to implement said transportation planning; and WHEREAS, the LWRCOG has authority to distribute Colorado Department of Highways Planning Funds to areas within its jurisdictions; and WHEREAS, the LWRCOG currently has Planning Funds available for use in the City of Fort Collins; and WHEREAS, the City has determined a need to develop Trip Generation Rates; and WHEREAS, the City has Planning Funds available from the Colorado Department of Highways to conduct a Trip Generation Study. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that the City Manager is hereby authorized to, on behalf of the City, enter into an agreement with the Larimer-Weld Regional Council of Governments for the City to conduct a Trip Generations Study at a price not to exceed Seventeen Thousand Dollars ($17,000) .
